Here is a very sculptural specimen of barite from the highly regarded Stoneham, Colorado locality. The piece is composed of several sharp, elongated terminated crystals that grew in a dramatic, three-dimensional configuration. The color is a translucent, lovely, baby blue color. The terminations have the typical blunt chisel-tip shapes of many barites. This is a highly attractive thumbnail-sized specimen (box included) from a classic locality.
