This is a fine gem crystal of the prized form of topaz known as imperial topaz, named for the Russian czars who reserved all such material for their personal use. The crystal is complete and terminated, has great internal fire, and weighs 19.4 carats. The color is a rich orange, and there is no damage. I bought this crystal from a miner who was working at the imperial topaz mine I visited in Brazil on my trip in 2016.
