Here is a rare specimen of pyromorphite from the long-closed Saint-Salvy mine in France. The pyromorphite is formed as radial aggregates merging into spheroidal growths, on matrix, of thousands of acicular crystals with tiny terminations reflecting light.  The color is very intense grass green.  This piece was found in the 1980s, and is today a European classic seen only from old collections.  This is much better than the average St.-Salvy piece, as anyone familiar the locality knows.
