The 2013 find in Tanzania set new records for large alabandite crystals, and this crystal is a superb example from this discovery. It is a very sharp octahedral crystal, with smooth faces which meet to form crisp edges.  The color is a dark black, and the crystal appears to have a sceptered crystal over smaller, older growth.
