This is a fine polished slab of rhodochrosite from Argentina that is covered with a multitude of stripes of red, pink, gray and white colors. The rhodochrosite has grown in thin bands and multiple partial rings, making this a highly aesthetic display piece. The mine has been closed for years, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find this high grade of material.
