Here is a beautiful specimen of elestial (also known as jacare) smoky quartz from Brazil, featuring a multitude of small parallel faces that reflect the light in a unique way: as the light hits the faces, all of them light up at once, creating a dazzling, brilliant burst of light. The crystals are a pale smoky color, with dark edges on many of them that outline them nicely. The back and sides of the crystal also are covered with sections of jacare quartz, and they are highly lustrous.
