Here is a delightful specimen of skeletal quartz from Mexico, which consists of a large, complex, double-terminated crystal with a single tip on one end and several tips on the otehr end. The crystal has deeply skeletal hoppered growth, where the edges of several faces were all that had time to grow, and then were covered over before they were filled, leaving dramatic hollow spaces inside the crystal. There are some ivory clay inclusions that give the piece a distinctive color.
