Here is a beautifully polished sphere of (mostly) clear quartz, measuring 2.8 inches in diameter. The quartz is mostly transparent, with several internal veils and inclusions that give is character. There is one natural indentation at the “bottom” of the sphere, but its surface is otherwise uniformly smooth.
