Here is a nice specimen of blood red grossular garnet crystalsin a very rich and deeply saturated color. The largest crystal is over 8 mm, and the crystals are relatively sharply formed. The luster is bright, and this is an attractive piece from a classic locality that was closed to collecting by the EPA, so here will be no more material coming from this famous locality.
