Irthem, Bou Azzer, Morocco, has long been famous for producing choice specimens of SKUTTERUDITE (nickel-cobalt arsenide), but there have been no significant finds for years. So, it was a pleasure to see choice skutterudite specimens available at the Tucson Gem, Rock and Mienral Show in 2012 in such fine quality, all coming from a very significant find in late 2011. We purchased this specimen from one of the Moroccan dealers who were set up in tents a block down the road from the old Executive Inn.
