This long slender quartz crystal is very clear, so you can easily see the sharp bright red phantom inside. The phantom is about 2/3 the height of the full crystal, and has the same slender shape. Phantoms record an earlier phase of a crystal's growth, which were covered by later deposition of quart on the outside.  This is a superb example in a colorful red that is very appealing.
