The 2012 Pocket at the Linwood Mine in Iowa was an overnight success, as collectors rushed to buy the beautifully formed, large and gemmy crystals that were brought out of the ground.  There are still a few good ones around, such as this attractive, double terminated crystal.  It is colored a lovely golden gray, and the inside of the crystal, visible through several faces, is very gemmy. Linwood barite is already well on its way to becoming a classic, and this is a great, highly representative, damage-free example.
