The barite crystals on this Spanish specimen are formed in stunning semi-stalactitic aggregates in a pale blue gray. This is a curious coral-like crystal habit, somewhat reminiscent of cockscomb marcasite. The crystals are very sharp, well-formed, and make an eye-catching, aerial, highly 3-dimensional display. Found in 2003 in the Victoria Mine. The translucent crystals have a frosty/matte luster. No damage.
