The copper mine at Milpillas, Mexico earned its status as a modern classic by producing jewels of azurite such as this finely crystallized specimen. The color is a vivid midnight blue, and the crystals are sharply terminated. The luster is superb, with flashing bright highlights bouncing off of multiple crystals faces.
