This is a rare matrix specimen of confetti quartz – a delightful occurrence in which clear quartz crystals have inclusions of very dark red lepidocrocite flakes inside. The quartz is gem clear, and the crystals are surrounded by more quartz crystals, all on top of a dark gray matrix. These crystals are natural, not polished, and there is no damage.
