This is a fine fluorite specimen, one of the most prized finds from the 2014 season at the new locality near Tombstone, AZ. The specimen is richly covered with sharp octahedral crystals in an attractive purple color. The crystals sit on bright white milky quartz casts which formed after calcite. The contrast is terrific, and since it was etched out of caliche, there is no damage.
