The weather for the 2014 Tucson Show was stellar - sunny days with temperatures in the low to mid 70s for our first week there, followed by sunny days with long-pants weather in the 60s, then drawing to a close with shorts and T-shirts weather reaching into the 80s for our final week. Meanwhile, back home in New England, there were blizzards and record cold temperatures dipping below zero, which made the sunshine and warmth all the more enjoyable. And the rocks weren't bad, either!

Every year it seems buyers bemoan the fact that there have been no new finds, there is no new material to be had, etc. I have even heard that said by other dealers about the 2015 show. But I don't buy it. We arrived on January 24 and stayed until February 14, and spent virtually every waking hour scouring the mineral dealers rooms and booths at many of the different shows, and we turned up a lot of really new things as well as a couple of re-discovered oldies but goodies from the past.

I still can barely believe how many new, colorful, and exciting specimens we brought home from the Tucson Show this year; this made picking out my favorites really difficult. Here are twenty-five new specimens that I think are significant and highly aesthetic which I love. They will give you an idea of what we found. If you are interested in any of these specimens, just click on the "for sale" links to go to the pages in our website where you will find that piece for sale. Or, you can email me by clicking here to find out what else we have in inventory.
