3.4" Luminous Red-Orange ORPIMENT Sparkly Crystals El'brusskiy Russia for sale

ORPIMENT from the Elbrussky Mine, Caucasus, Russia exhibits a stunning, heavily saturated reddish-orange color that is unique to the locality. The bright red-orange color is truly spectacular, and the yellow-orange color of the edges provides a very rich contrast. This material is typically covered with a thick carpet of microscopic crystals. This is another new acquisition from the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show this year. I picked out this piece at the Inn Suites show from a Russian wholesale dealer who had the only examples of this material available anywhere in town.
