3.1" Cluster of Totally Sharp Orange ORPIMENT Crystals Twin Creeks M NV for sale

ORPIMENT is the vividly colored mineral, arsenic sulfide (AS2S3). This colorful specimen was mined in 1999 or 2000 from Cut 62, Twin Creeks Mine, Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nevada. This piece came from the famous find in the early 2000's that redefined the species in terms of quality, and became an instant overnight source of modern classic specimens. We picked out this exceptional specimen during the Colorado Gem, Rock & Mineral Show from the warehouse of the guy who ran the mining operation - Brian Lees. Almost ten years after the find, there aren't a lot of these still around, so I was happy to spot these on a shelf in the back of the warehouse.
