This is a large cabinet specimen of uralite which comes with a Richard Groom typewritten label. It is a fine example of this mineral, which is a pseudomorph of hornblende group minerals, mainly actinolite, after a pyroxene group mineral. Here, you have blocky actinolite pseudomorphs after diopside crystals, richly covering the both sides of the specimen. The crystals measure to 11mm. Hard to find on the market now!
