Here is a large and dramatic specimen of the rare carbonate mineral kutnahorite. The color is a delicate carnation pink, and the crystals are formed in groups of acicular sprays, with the terminations sticking up above the surface of the piece. This is a highly characteristic specimen of this rare mineral species. The piece comes from the Wessels Mine, which has produced the world's best specimens.
