This exquisite specimen of gem amethyst on matrix features a cluster of brilliant, highly lustrous, sharply formed crystals that are colored a much deeper purple than is typical for this area. The largest and middle sized terminations show skeletal hoppering, which happens when a crystal grows so fast that it only forms the edges of the crystal face, and doesn't have a chance to completely fill in the middle. The smallest crystal has a habit similar to a Lemurian Seed crystal, which is highly unusual in amethyst.
