Availability: In Stock
Here's a rare specimen of SILVER that came from Batopilas, Andres del Rio District, San Miguel Batopilas, Chihuahua, Mexico. Specimens of crystallized silver have always been highly sought after, and wire silver like this is one of the most striking formations found. The Spanish conquistadores first opened the silver mines at Batopillas in 1632. The mines in the surrounding area were hugely productive, and many people made huge fortunes there. The mines are still operating, reportedly worked by miners who still use picks.
