Here's a very attractive specimen of NEPTUNITE on NATROLITE and CROSSITE from the Benitoite Gem Mine, San Benito County, California. The black neptunite crystals contrast very nicely with the lily white natrolite around it. (I don't see it on this specimen, but neptunite is actually a very, very dark red color, which is only visible when the crystals are slightly translucent). I purchased this very select specimen from a California dealer who sets up at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show every year. He worked there during the 1980's, and sells that material along with other old material he manages to acquire from local collectors (he usually etches these specimens further to enhance the look of the piece).
