1.3" Translucent BERYLLONITE Sharp Crystal w/VerticalStriation Pakistan for sale
Availability: In Stock
Here's a very choice cluster of clear to white beryllonite crystals with clearly delineated vertical striations. The crystals are doubly terminated, and the very fine top terminations are all parallel, suggesting this might be a complex single crystal, and also show interesting growth hillocks and markings on the smooth surfaces of the terminations. The bottom terminations are less interesting, but definitely appear to be terminations. The entire crystal group is nearly transparent, but appear somewhat white, as is often the case with not-quite gem clear crystals. This is a rare floater crystal, with no contact points, and is free of any damage.
Here is an excellent specimen of the rare mineral BERYLLONITE. This specimen comes from Balachi, Gilgit-Skardu Road, Northern Areas, Pakistan. We picked this newly unearthed gem at the Tucson Gem, Rock & Mineral Show.
